The Board had created 1980 examination centres to conduct the examination of students across the state of Himachal Pradesh. There were 223 centres of SOS examinations. Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education set up into existence in the year 1969. It's head office was in Shimla later it was shifted to Dharamshala. The shifting was done in the year 1983.
