Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education has announced the result for the SSLC or 10th class examination on April 29, 2019 around 9:30 AM. The examinations were conducted from March 14 to March 24, 2019. Students who appeared for the examination can check their result at the FastResult websites and Mobile Application. A total of 95.2% students passed the examination successfully. Last year, around 9.33 lakh students had appeared for the 10th class board examinations in the state which were conducted in March 2018. A total of 5059 schools had scored 100%.

The girls have outperformed the boys again in Tamil Nadu SSLC examination. While the pass percentage of the girls is 97%, 93.3% boys passed the examination successfully.
How to Check Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2019?
- Visit the FastResult website and Mobile App.
- After that, click the web link of 10th Result
- Now the students search the Tamil Nadu Board from the search bar menu
- Then, click the Check Result Now.
- Fill the Required Details
- Now your Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2019 will be displayed on the screen.
- Download it, and take a print out for further reference
A total of 8,69,423 students had registered for the examination out of which 8,42,512 appeared. A total of 26,911 students missed the examination. In 2018, a total of 8,60,434 students appeared against 9,07,620 who had registered.
Tamil Nadu SSLC Result: Science students performed the best
In terms of streams wise, science stream students have shown the best result with 92.75%. In commerce, 90.78 students passed while in Arts, 80.13 students passed the exam. Students from vocational subjects recorded a pass percentage of 82.70%. Among districts wise, Tiruppur topped with 98.56% followed by Ramnathapuram 98.48% and Namakal - 98.45%. The maximum number of regular students from Malappuram – 58,465. As many as 490 students to appear for the exams from the Gulf centres, 1,014 from Lakshadweep, and 709 from Mahe.
Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2019: Not happy with the marks? Here is what to do
In case a students is not happy with their marks they can ask for a copy of the answer sheet. For each subject, the students will have to pay Rs 275. Students can also ask for re-valuation of marks. In this case, for the subject in Life sciences, a fee of Rs 305 per subject will be applicable and for other subjects, the students will have to pay Rs 205.
