The Karnataka SSLC 2025 result is expected to come out in the first week of May, as shared by School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa. The Class 10 exams were held from March 21 to April 4 across different exam centers in the state.
This year, 8,96,447 students took the exam. This includes 4,61,563 boys and 4,34,884 girls. The exams were held in 2,818 centers. Around 65,000 teachers are checking the answer sheets at 240 evaluation centers.
No More Covid-Time Grace Marks
Minister Bangarappa said the Covid-time grace marks rule will not be used anymore. The board will follow the old system. Now, only students who getat least 175 total marks in all subjects can getgrace marks. The pass marks are also back to 35 per subject, instead of 25 during Covid.
What Happened Last Year
In 2024, 8.9 lakh students signed up for the SSLC exam. Around 4.5 lakh boys and 4.3 lakh girls appeared. The pass percentage was 73.40%, which was lower than 83.89% in 2023 and 85.13% in 2022. In 2019, before Covid, the pass rate was 73.70%.
The 2024 SSLC result came out on May 9. Due to the lower pass rate, the board had increased the grade marks from 10% to 20%, and the pass marks were reduced from 35% to 25%.
Schools With Zero Pass & Toppers
In 2024, 78 schools had zero students pass, and 3 of those schools were in Bengaluru. Only one student scored a perfect 625 out of 625 marks, while four students got full marks in 2023.
