The date sheet for the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education's (JKBOSE) 2024 board exams for Classes 10, 11, and 12 for the soft zone areas has been released on the official website of JKBOSE at jkbose.nic.in. Between March 7 and April 3, 2024, the JKBOSE will administer the Class 10 exam in the soft zone area.
Beginning on March 30 and ending on April 25, these areas will host the Class 11 board exam. The dates of the Class 12 board exam in Jammu and Kashmir are March 6–28. Greater Kashmir also stated that the board will shortly make available the separate date sheet for the state's hard zones' board exams.

Approximately 444 schools—309 in Jammu and 135 in the Kashmir division—as well as seven zones in the Kargil district and the whole Ladakh region are located in hard zones, according to JBOSE figures.
1,18,791 out of 1,48,701 pupils passed the JK Class 10 board examinations in the previous academic year. The total pass rate was 79.89, with females scoring 81.68% and boys scoring 78.23%. 82,441 of the 1,27,636 students from throughout Jammu and Kashmir who took the JK Class 12 board exam were able to pass.
