The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education has declared the new dates to conduct the examinations which were postponed due to curfew in the area. General English paper will be managed on February 26 will now be scheduled on March 3 and the Geography examination which was to be managed on February 23 has now been programmed to be held on March 22, 2019. These examinations are 12th class Jammu division, summer zone candidates. While rest of the examinations have been going on smoothly, these examinations which were also the first two exams for 12th class Jammu division, summer zone candidates were postponed after curfew was imposed to secure security in valley post the Pulwama attack.
As announced by The Indian Express earlier, curfew was clamped in the city following violence during Jammu bandh announced by Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry to complain the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in a terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates can refer to the Fastresult website as well for future reference as no communication will be given individually to students. The 12th class exams were earlier to be ended by March 18 but now have been continued till March 22, 2019.
