The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has unveiled the timetable for the Class 10 and 12 supplementary exams for 2024. Students preparing for the SSC and HSC supplementary exams can now view the exam schedule on the official website — gseb.org.
According to the announcement, GSEB SSC supplementary exams 2024 will take place from June 24 to July 4. For Gujarat Board HSC supplementary exams 2024 in the science stream, the dates are set between June 24 and July 3. As for GSEB Class 12 general and vocational stream exams, they will run until July 6 and July 3, respectively.

Students who were absent or marked 'needs improvement' in the Gujarat Class 10 and 12 exams of 2024 can enhance their scores by appearing in one or a maximum of three subjects through the supplementary exams.
GSEB SSC, HSC Supplementary Exam Format
The HSC Class 12 supplementary exam will consist of two sections. Section A will have 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying 50 marks, while section B will contain descriptive questions also carrying 50 marks. The exam duration will be 3 hours with an OMR based format. Candidates are advised to arrive half an hour before the exam starts on the first day.
On the other hand, the GSEB SSC supplementary exam will be out of 80 marks, except for vocational courses where it will be out of 30 marks. The exam will be held from 10 am to 1:15 pm, with 15 minutes provided for reading time. Vocational exams will take place from 10 am to 11:15 am.
GSEB SSC, HSC Results 2024 Overview
This year in the Class 12 exams, boys have slightly outperformed girls in the Science stream, with girls achieving an overall pass percentage of 82.35%, while boys led with 83.53%.
In the GSEB HSC general stream, out of 3,78,268 students who appeared, 3,47,738 passed. In the science stream, out of 1,11,132 students, 91,625 cleared the exams. The pass percentage for science Group A is 90.11%, for Group B it is 78.34%, and when both groups are combined, the overall pass percentage is 68.42%.
This year, the overall pass percentage for GSEB Class 10 results 2024 is 82.56%, showing a significant increase from last year's 64.62%. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 86.69%, while boys reached 79.12%. There was a slight decrease of 0.56 percentage points from the previous year's pass percentage of 65.18% in 2022.
Out of 699,598 regular students, 577,556 qualified for the secondary school certificate. Additionally, 23,247 GSEB Class 10 students secured an A1 grade in the SSLC examination. The pass percentage for basic math is the lowest at 83.4%, while for standard math, it is the highest at 99.45%.
