The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has started the application process for the Secondary School Certificate (GSEB SSC) supplementary exams in 2024. Eligible students, including those who were absent or failed, can now apply for the exams via the official website, gsebeservice.com. Notably, this year's overall pass rate was 82.56%, the highest in the past decade.
Students who found themselves absent or in need of improving their Gujarat Class 10 marks for 2024 are granted the opportunity to retake up to three subjects in the supplementary exams.
The deadline for submitting the exam form is set for May 22, with applications accepted until 5 pm.
In facilitating the process, schools are required to apply for the supplementary exams online, either through the official website of the Board at - gseb.org or through the alternate portal at - sscpurakreg.gseb.org.
The notice, originally in Gujarati states, "Schools must apply ONLINE for the supplementary examination 2024 through the Board's website www.gseb.org or sscpurakreg.gseb.org. The school will only be able to accept applications and pay fees in online mode."
Furthermore, the board has introduced a provision allowing students who previously failed standard mathematics to opt for basic mathematics in the GSEB SSC supplementary exam of 2024. Moreover, students who successfully passed the March 2024 GSEB 10th board exam with basic mathematics and aspire to pursue science streams A or AB in Class 11 can apply online for the standard mathematics subject through their respective schools.
