The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a major change in the method of evaluation of the copy (answer sheet) of the 10th and 12th examination.
Now in one hour a teacher will check only three copies. Only 20 copies will be given to them for examination in a day. The teacher conducting the evaluation will have to remain at the evaluation centers from 9 am to 5 pm.
Earlier, there was no time bound for the evaluation of teachers. CBSE has made these changes under the zero error campaign in the evaluation work. AK Nag, patron of CBSE Pataliputra Sahodaya, "says that CBSE has decided to get the copies checked minutely this year."
Each copy will be monitored. To bring transparency in the evaluation of copies, only 20 copies will be given to a teacher. They have to check inside the evaluation center itself.
Assistant Chief Examiner will be Posted
CBSE has decided to appoint an Assistant Chief Examiner below the Chief Examiner from this year. The Assistant Chief Examiners will assist their superiors. Both of them will be Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). Preference will be given to PGT teachers especially for examination of science and social studies subjects.
Recognition of the School Can Be Canceled if the Teacher is Not Sent
CBSE has given a clear warning to the schools that if the teachers selected by the board are not sent to the evaluation center by the concerned school for evaluation, the recognition of the school can even be canceled. The board can also impose fines.
Examination results of schools which do not send teachers can also be withheld. All three actions can be taken simultaneously. It is known that many schools are not able to send teachers to the evaluation centers on time due to non-availability of teachers. This affects the evaluation work of the board.
