The Central Board of Secondary Education will begin the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2023 on February 15, 2023. The board is yet to announce the complete schedule for the CBSE 10th and 12th Board exam 2023. According to several media reports however the schedule for the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2023 will be available on the board website soon.
In light of just a few months remaining for the CBSE class 10 and 12 exams 2023, the CBSE board has released tips to help students prepare better for the board examinations. Students taking the exams from February 2022 onwards are in the preparation phase and with these tips, students can increase their chances of creating a better environment to prepare for the boards.
CBSE 12th Preparation 2023
All the students preparing for the CBSE Class 12th board examinations must cover the entire syllabus well in time. At least a month should be kept reserved for the revision of all the important things. Here are a few CBSE Class 12 preparation tips which students can follow in order to secure good marks in the examinations.
1. Make a schedule/time table
Students must begin early with the preparations for the board examinations. They must chalk out a full schedule and follow it religiously. All the important topics should be revised after every few days.
2. Revise the formulae
One of the most important things in exams is the formulae which we have in subjects like Mathematics, Science, etc. Students should make sure that they learn all the formulae by heart and revise them each day as to not forget them while attempting any question.
3. Eat healthy
Students must make sure to not skip meals in between studies. Meals are very important for the proper working of our body and mind.
4. Practise previous years' question papers/ CBSE sample papers
Attempting previous years' question papers/sample papers give the student an insight into the type of questions asked as well as the marking scheme.

Get Familiar with the exam pattern & syllabus
It is essential that students know the exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly. CBSE class 10 Exam pattern includes details about the type of questions, the number of questions, duration of the exam, marking scheme, and sections covered among others. Students are suggested to go through the complete CBSE class 10th syllabus.
The CBSE class 10th exam consists of a total of 100 marks which is subdivided as:
• Annual Board Exam: 80 Marks (Passing marks is 33% out of 80 in each subject)
• Internal Assessment: 20 Marks (Periodic Tests* - 10 marks each, Notebook submission- 5 marks, Subject Activities - 5 marks)
*Note – Out of 3 Periodic tests average of the best two marks will be considered for the final weightage.
1. Make a study schedule
Without proper planning, it’s almost impossible to reach the target. To prepare for CBSE board exams effectively, students must make a proper study timetable and then follow the same. Making schedules will help boost confidence and students can study at a constant pace. While following the study schedule make sure to have assigned more time to difficult subjects.
2. Solve previous year questions and sample papers
Students are suggested to practice previous years' CBSE class 10th question papers to analyze their preparation level. Students must keep an eye on the clock because solving the question paper within the stipulated time limit will help keep track of their problem-solving speed.
3. Take breaks while studying
It makes learning difficult for the student if he/she sits in one place trying to remain focused. It is suggested students take short breaks while studying. Doing 10-15 minutes of exercise in between your studies will help stay fit, active, and mentally prepared for future sciences
4. Group study for CBSE class 10 exams
Studying with a group of friends is always fun. Listening and speaking always help in better learning. Group study helps in understanding the concepts faster. Alongside, boring topics will become interesting in group study sessions and help students to extend their study schedule longer.
5. Avoid using slangs
Always remember that spoken and written English are not the same. Using slang words or SMS language will be considered as a spelling mistake and one will be penalized for the same leading to loss of marks.
6. Take proper rest
Stress, fear, and anxiety hampers the preparation and affects the performance in board exams. So it is suggested to start preparing and relax the mind. Get a proper night sleep especially before the exam day.
7. Write appropriate answers
After all the preparation for the exam, come the time when the answer sheet must reflect the hard work. Students must follow the proper technique and strategy to write the answers in the best way and complete the exam well on time. Make the best use of the 15 minutes reading time allotted before starting writing the exam.
