The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently conducting the board examinations for class 10, 12. The exams are scheduled to end on April 5, 2023. The board has issued a statement regarding the alleged paper leaks on social media platforms.
CBSE has made several arrangements to ensure smooth conduction of exams and has denied all claims of access to the board exam question papers made by individuals or paper leaks on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter among other platforms. CBSE says that such groups and persons intend to trap gullible students into scams and demand money in return.
The board claims vigilance in identifying such persons and taking strict action against them. "CBSE is regularly intimating Delhi Police Special Cell (MAC) to take stern action against persons involved in circulating fake news using social media platforms under various provisions of IPC and IT Act," read a statement.
CBSE has also informed that it will be taking action against students under 'unfair means' rule and various sections of IPC if they are found indulging in spreading the fake news. The board asks parents to guide their wards not to believe such rumors and not indulge in any such activity which hampers the smooth conduct of board examinations.
"Public is therefore alerted against such unverified news and rumours during the ongoing exams and further requested not to participate in such activities or spread such information through any form of communication to maintain the sanctity of examinations at all cost," read the statement further.
