The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently revealed the much-awaited CBSE supplementary practical exam dates for the year 2023. As per the officially released schedule, these practical exams for students who have applied for supplementary exams will take place from July 6 to July 20.
CBSE Board has declared students who achieved a combined score of 33% in both theory and internal assessment as pass. The overall pass percentages for CBSE Class 12th and Class 10 were recorded at 87.33% and 93.12%, respectively, this academic year.
Practical Guidelines Compartment 2023
In the case of CBSE Class 12, the board has stated that students falling under the compartment category due to repetition in theory and practical will be required to appear in both theory and practical supplementary exams.
For CBSE Class 10, students categorized under the compartment category and who were absent during the internal assessment will be granted pro-rata marks in internal assessment based on their theory marks obtained in the supplementary exams. The CBSE Board emphasized that no internal assessment will be conducted for such students during the supplementary examination, as internal assessment is a year-long process.
CBSE supplementary practical exams for regular students will be held in their respective schools, while private students must attend the same venue assigned for their theory exams.
To streamline the process, the board has instructed schools to upload students' practical exam marks on the portal on the same day. It is important to note that requests for changing marks will not be entertained.
By adhering to these guidelines, the CBSE aims to ensure a smooth and efficient conduct of the supplementary practical exams, benefiting both regular and private students alike.
