If you are going to appear for CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th exam, then this is important news for you. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has warned students and affiliated schools that if all subjects are not marked correctly in the 'List of Candidates' form, students will not be allowed to appear in the board exams 2024.
CBSE claimed that the board has observed that schools and students have not been "sincere and careful" towards filling the form in the past.
The board said in the notice, “Since the submission of LOC has begun, with this circular all schools are once again being reminded of the importance of submitting data in the LOC correctly. Therefore, the Principals/Schools are directed to read the LOC Notification No. CBSE/LOC/2023-24/Date 17/08/2023 carefully before filling the details of the candidates.
The staff deputed for filling the details should be apprised of all the guidelines laid down in the above circular to avoid mistakes. Parents may also be informed about the importance of correct data and the consequences for submitting incorrect data. Subject correction will not be considered in any way after submission of LOC.
If wrong demographic details of the students are filled, then the students will have to get these details corrected after passing the exam and thus may face problems in admission etc. CBSE also clarified that no window will be provided for subsequent correction and hence the schools should ensure that the data filled is correct.
CBSE said, “It is the responsibility of the concerned school to upload the correct data. So, make sure the data is correct before submitting it to the board.”
