The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification requesting comments on the question papers of 2024 board exams. The board has asked schools to make the observation process more efficient. The notification said that the board has found certain issues in the inputs received and has issued a clarification notice.
As per the request of CBSE, the observations should be uploaded on the Online Examination Center Management System (OECMS) on the same day of the examination. If the comments are not submitted on time, do not follow board guidelines, or are vague and unclear, CBSE said it will not respond.
The notification said, “You are aware that the board examinations for classes 10 and 12 have started. Every year, schools are requested to submit their comments and issues, if any, on the question paper in OECMS to the CBSE Send to."
The board sent this notice after learning that schools were sending comments to multiple email accounts that were not meant for that purpose. It further said that the comments were given in a vague and unclear manner after a few days. The Board gave an example saying that although the question is wrong in an observation, it did not specify why.
CBSE has directed the principals of its affiliated schools to take specific steps to improve the process, such as recording observations on OECMS, submitting necessary details to qpoobservation@cbseshiksha.in for resolution of any issues, and providing detailed information about the results of the examination. Submitting day comments. Furthermore, according to CBSE, the board will not take any action if the feedback is unclear, confusing, delayed, or not in line with CBSE guidelines.
