The CBSE Class 10 and 12 practical exams for 2025 will start on January 1. According to the new guidelines, the board will send external examiners for the Class 12 practical exams.
Schools must make sure that only these appointed examiners conduct the exams. For some subjects, the external examiners will be helped by school teachers, and the CBSE will send observers to watch over the process.
For Class 10, schools will handle the practical exams and projects without any external examiners. Once the marks are uploaded, no changes can be made. Schools must also take a group photo of the students during the practical exams. This photo should show the examiner, observer, and students, and it must be sent to the board.
If there are more than 30 students in a batch, schools can hold the exams in two or three shifts in a day. The board has asked schools to prepare a final list of students. Only those students whose names appear in the "List of Candidates" (LOC) can take part in the practical exams and internal assessments. Schools must ensure no unlisted students are allowed.
For the practical exams, schools must also provide the answer sheets for Class 10 exams. These updates are meant to keep the practical exams organized and fair for all students.
