Andhra Pradesh class 10 or Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams have been postponed due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The AP SSC Board exams were scheduled to be held from March 31, 2020, to April 8, 2020.
Advocate General S Sriram on March 24 informed the Andhra Pradesh high court on behalf of the state government that a decision has been taken to postpone the SSC board examinations and a fresh notification of examinations will be issued later. The high court was moved with two Public Interest Petitions seeking orders on postponement of examinations due.
Dr A Suresh, state education minister told, "SSC exams have been postponed by two weeks. We will soon announce the new schedule."
A total of 6,39,022 students have registered for AP SSC board exam 2020. The exam was scheduled to be conducted at 2,923 centres across the state.
The students who have registered for the AP Class 10 board exam 2020 are advised to visit the official website of the Board to check the latest update on revised datesheet.
Lockdown has been imposed in Andhra Pradesh till March 31 in the backdrop of coronavirus outbreak in the country. The state has reported a total of seven positive cases of coronavirus while the number of COVID-19 cases in India has reached 498.
