The Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) board exams conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune have been successfully completed and now students are eagerly waiting for the results.
Although the board has not yet officially announced the result date, board chairman Sharad Gosavi told Media that the results will be declared by May 15, 2025.
Talking about previous years, usually the HSC (class 12) result was released in the fourth week of May and the SSC (class 10) result in the first week of June. But this time the results are likely to come relatively early.
More than 15 lakh students have registered for the HSC exam this year, including 8,10,348 boys, 6,94,652 girls and 37 transgender candidates. At the same time, a total of 16,11,610 students from 23,492 schools have registered for the SSC exam, including 8,64,120 boys, 7,47,471 girls and 19 transgenders. These figures also reflect the gender ratio in the state.
For the smooth and fair conduct of the examination, MSBSHSE had made strict security arrangements, such as deployment of flying squads and enforcement of Section 144 around the examination centers.
Along with this, in view of the possible technical problems due to simultaneous login of lakhs of students on the website after the examination, Maharashtra Information Technology Minister Ashish Shelar held a review meeting with the officials of the board and IT department.
He suggested that the board's website should undergo load testing and capacity enhancement regularly so that students do not face problems in viewing the results. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to be strict about cyber security and a detailed security report has been asked to be prepared within 7 days.
Meanwhile, the board has opened a new registration window for SSC and HSC July-August 2025 exams for those private students who could not register on time for the main exams held in February-March 2025. This decision comes as a relief for those students who missed the previous deadline due to some reason.
